The Corporation successfully held its Annual Tree Planting Exercise on Wednesday, 5th July 2023 at Lenana School, Nairobi where 10,000 tree seedlings were planted. This event signified the importance Kenya Re attaches to improving the state of forests in Kenya and environmental conservation in general. The planting of 10,000 tree seedlings is a significant step towards a greener future. By planting these trees, the Corporation actively combats climate change, protects the environment, and restores balance to our local ecosystem.

Whilst making his remarks when he led the exercise, the Group Managing Director, Dr. Hillary Wachinga, noted that by holding the activity in the school, it shall inspire the young students to develop a passion for undertaking environmental protection for the future of our planet. Lenana School Chief Principal, Mr. William Kemei (pictured second right) on his part appreciated the shared fruitful history between Kenya Re and the school on the Niko Fiti – community support arm.
