The Principal Secretary for Public Investments and Assets Management, Mr. Cyrell Wagunda today hosted Dr. Hillary Wachinga, the Group Managing Director of Kenya Reinsurance Corporation (Kenya Re) Limited who paid a courtesy visit at the Treasury Building, Nairobi.

Dr. Wachinga extensively briefly the PS on the various operations of the Corporation, its mandate, the oldest Reinsurer in Eastern and Central Africa established by an Act of Parliament in December 1970 and commenced business in January 1971.

The MD informed PS Wagunda that Kenya Re which is now a Government-Owned Enterprise following the enactment of the GOE Act of 2025 is committed to continue offering world-class reinsurance service to the more than 482 companies spread out in over 83 countries in Africa, Middle East and Asia.

On his part, PS Wagunda assured the MD of his continued support to the Corporation to enable it achieve its overall mandate.
