The Marketing & Business Development (M & BD) department in the Reinsurance Operations Division hosted a team from the Insurance Institute of Kenya (IIK). The Insurance Institute of Kenya (IIK) is the umbrella body for insurance professionals in Kenya. It was formed in 1948 as an affiliate of the Chartered Insurance Institute London until 2002 when it was registered as a society by the Registrar of societies.
The IIK team had visited the Corporation to interest it on the calendar of activities planned for in the year 2024. More importantly, the IIK team had also come to present an exceptional certificate of recognition to the Corporation for sponsoring the IIK 38th Annual Conference that was held from 11th – 13th October 2023 in Diani, Kenya. The IIK team comprised of Administration Manager – Ms. Mary Waweru and Assistant Administration Manager – Ms. Elizabeth Kisebu.
The Marketing & Business Development team had time to review the Institute’s calendar of events and looked forward to synergizing with the Institute in 2024 on areas of mutual interest. The recognition certification was formally received by Manager – Marketing & Business Development & Kenya Re Training Academy Coordinator - Lucy Kagwiria. She was joined by Assistant Manager – Marketing & Business Development, Susan Kandie, Marketing & Business Development Officer, Edwin Muthabuku and Intern – Marketing & Business Development – Susan Mwachilu.
